In my psychotherapeutic practice, I use the Pesso Boyden Psychomotor Therapy method – an approach that helps clients heal deep emotional wounds stored in the body and mind.

This therapeutic work is based on the belief that our body remembers everything – even what we have consciously forgotten. Through the perception of bodily sensations and impulses brought into awareness, the client can connect with their inner history, embody it, understand it – and most importantly, transform it.

In a safe and supportive environment, space is created for the formation of new, enriching, and healing memories that complement the original painful experiences. This opens the possibility to experience life with greater ease, joy, health, and hope.

I offer a gentle and individual approach that teaches you, through the breath, how to:

  • harmonize body and mind through conscious breathing
  • establish a deeper connection with yourself
  • open space for inner peace and compassion

    I can also help if you are dealing with:

  • chronic stress and insomnia
  • psychosomatic difficulties (e.g. chest tightness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations)
  • emotional exhaustion, loss of meaning, or feelings of disconnection from yourself

Who is Maitri Breathing suitable for?

The method is also sought out by people carrying burdens from the past – whether it’s deep trauma, difficult life experiences, or birth trauma. Maitri Breathing creates a safe space for gently working through these layers without the need for words.

It is a popular method among therapists, educators, parents, and those who care for others. However, it is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or previous experience. I offer both individual and group sessions.

Maitri means “friendship” – and this is the kind of relationship we learn to cultivate with ourselves. Maitri Breathing is a gentle yet deeply transformative method that regulates the nervous system, releases tension and trauma stored in the body, and helps return you to the present moment. You leave feeling calmer, more relaxed, and more centered.

My name is Šárka Provazníková and I am an experienced bodywork therapist.
I completed a 3-year in-person study of the Alexander Technique in Brighton, UK.
I also finished a 4-year training in Pesso Boyden therapy and a 2-year training in Maitri breathwork.
